2ND Shift: MONDAY-THURSDAY 2:30PM – 1AM with mandatory OT that can extend the M-F work hours up to 10 hours and also requires every other Saturday as needed to meet production needs.

Job Duties:

• Perform production work on the laser loading and unloading parts and basic inspection to insure the quality of the parts.

• Will have the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to advance to Laser Operator #2 classification.

Pay: $19.44 - $25.01/hr.

Job Duties for the Machine Operator:  

• Reads blueprints, job orders, tooling instructions and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions, tolerances and tooling instruction, such as type of holding fixtures, cutting speeds, feed rates and cutting tools to be used.
• May operate fork lift truck, hand truck or crane to move, convey, or hoist spring wire from storage area to work area.
• Completes the coiling of springs according to the work order. Inspects springs for proper dimensions and checks for desired length.
• Cleans machines and performs minor maintenance.
• Assists less experienced operators in selection of tooling and operation of equipment.

Qualifications:

• Good stability work history.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, plant rules and policies, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand on concrete for duration of shift.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on occasion.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain rewinding equipment, ensuring efficient production and minimal downtime.

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise, working with the maintenance team as needed.

• Adhere to safety procedures and protocols, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.

• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
