Remedy Staffing is excited to extend temp-to-hire Machine Operator positions to you from our client in Iowa City, IA. 

Our client is expanding warehouse operations and needs dedicated team members to join this fast-paced operation.

Shift/Hours: 1st shift. 7AM – 3PM.

Pay: $15/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to learn and perform several job functions of the Manufacturing plant.

• Troubleshoots and maintains equipment to keep it in running condition, requests maintenance as required.

• Learn and perform the responsibilities of the Press service position.

• Learn and perform the responsibilities of the Forms Packer.

• Learn and perform the Ink/Cage responsibilities as a backup replacement.

• Basic computer skills in excel and word.

• May provide training for new team members.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.

• Able to stand for long periods of time and lift/pull minimum of 50 pounds.

• Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately.

• Knowledge of general work safety practices and personal protective equipment.

• Weekends and overtime required.

• Self starter and ability to troubleshoot is a MUST.

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Good attendance is a must.

Hours M-F:

3rd shift: 11:00pm to 7:15am

The associate’s work will include:

• The associate will be working in the Power Pack Department. In the absence of the Shift Supervisor:
• Communicate with on-duty Remedy Team Lead for staffing and production concerns.
• Meet team members at time clock and stay there until 10 minutes after the shift .
• Oversee all Remedy related operations while communicating with On-site Manager for all areas.
• Ensure production, safety, policies and procedures are being followed throughout shift.
• Make scheduling adjustments based on staffing numbers for the day and on an as-needed basis by checking production board Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of Remedy and the customer in the most professional manner possible. 

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months Production of manufacturing experience. (Some supervision preferred)

Position Description Summary:

Responsible for loading and unloading freight accurately, inventory control, rotation and inspection and other warehouse related duties to ensure timely and accurate delivery of freight to customers.

Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):

• Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers

• Unload inbound and outbound containers and sort according to size of freight and destination

• Read, decode, and decipher freight coding in order to expedite freight movement and tracing process

• Reconcile driver pickup and delivery manifests

• Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight

• Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports

• Responsible for inventory, rotation and inspection of freight held in the warehouse

• Complete required documentation

• Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of warehouse

• Must have forklift experience for forklift positions.

• Perform repetitive motion activities.

• Stand for minimum 12 hours shift.
