Job Description

Remedy Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Animal Control Officer for a local municipal agency. This position plays an important role in protecting public safety, promoting animal welfare, and supporting shelter operations. The Animal Control Officer will respond to animal-related calls, provide humane care for animals, maintain shelter facilities, and assist with enforcing local animal control ordinances.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to become a permanent employee.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to calls regarding stray, injured, abandoned, or nuisance animals.
  • Safely capture, restrain, and transport animals using humane handling techniques.
  • Investigate animal-related complaints and ordinance violations.
  • Complete reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Feed, water, and monitor animals housed at the shelter.
  • Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and animal housing areas.
  • Observe animal health and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
