The Orthodontic Technician works very closely with the Treatment Coordinators, Orthodontic Dental Assistants, and Orthodontists to gather patient diagnostic records and ensure the clinic and tools are sterilized at all times. 

Responsibilities:

- Perform orthodontic procedures, such as changing archwires, scans for Invisalign, bonding aligner attachments, delivering appliances, and taking intraoral scans and impressions
- Assist doctor during bondings, appliance deliveries, and other orthodontic procedures
- Take orthodontic photographs and x-rays
- Set up and sterilize treatment chairs and instruments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care for orthodontic appliance
- Maintain accurate digital patient records
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow

Job Requirements:

 

  • Previous dental experience would be helpful, but a great attitude and a strong work ethic are our first priorities
  • X-Ray Certification, preferred  (Must have Radiography Certification upon hire or within ninety (90) days after hire)

The Quality Assurance Inspector assures the maintenance of a desired level of quality in a service or product, especially by means of attention to every stage of the process of delivery or production. Summary:

Solderer I

Perform soldering, cleaning and basic rework of component parts on electronic circuit boards using soldering equipment and other tools to accomplish proper solder joint, fit or rework/adjustments.  Perform assembly operations on parts, printed circuit boards, cables, wire harnesses, electronic enclosures, assemblies and subassemblies.  Generally works from detailed Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI), but may work from schematics and drawings.

Essential functions:

Soldering of through-hole components in routine, repetitive procedures requiring fine motor skills in Post Department.  This is an on-the-job training position used to assess soldering capability, typically prior to completing the initial basic soldering class. Requires ability to read, follow and work in accordance with MPI and standard basic rework instructions. 

 Soldering skills include the following: 

  • -       Understanding of ESD handling requirements;
  • -       Understanding of different types of flux and solder;
  • -       Understanding and use of MPI’s and BOM’s;
  • -       Understanding of Through-hole and SMT components: polarity, placement, etc.
  • -       Understanding of the differences in leaded and lead-free solder and components and ability to solder both leaded and lead-free assemblies (after training);
  • -       Ability to inspect assemblies for defects such as: wrong polarity, bridging, solder shorts, solder balls, excess solder, insufficient solder, etc.
  • -       Ability to clean assemblies (how and when to clean);

Solderer III focuses primarily on original solder work with some rework. Operates in work situations with complex solder/rework requirements - job duties typically involve variations related to rework, and require very fine motor skills.  Employees in this category must have completed IPC J-Standard training and must be IPC-610 certified to inspect assemblies.
