Store and issue materials, equipment, tools and other items from Inventory and perform other tasks, including but not limited to; stocking, pulling work orders, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, priority requisitions (PriReqs), return to stock (RTS) and data entry. Keep records and compile related reports. This position reports to the Inventory Supervisor.

Essential Functions

Receive priorities from Inventory Supervisor and other experienced personnel.

  • Accurate receipt of parts from Receiving Inspection and their application to kit shortages or placement in proper stockroom location.
  • Accurate assembly and audit of production kits (Work Order Kits) and perform the necessary transaction in the ERP System.
  • Timely and accurate filling and reconciliation of Material Requests from production (PriReqs) with the associated notes for all exception transactions.
  • Accurately dispense miscellaneous issues/items in the stockroom. Ensure that dated materials are within the usage date by issuing oldest items first (FIFO). Update tool sheets for tools issued to employees, for accurate tracking of items.
  • Perform accurate transactions and inventory cycle counts, to ensure that inventory in the ERP system (ManFact) is accurate.
  • Participate in annual physical count of inventory stock, as required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

The Stamping Process Engineer will have a strong understanding of metal forming processes and equipment including mechanical skills required in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, and production equipment with a strong focus on bearing manufacturing processes. Working with personnel from manufacturing, maintenance, set-up and engineering, the manufacturing engineer must be able to improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for existing Metal Forming equipment and processes in a manufacturing environment to ensure optimum efficiency is achieved.
  • Design and development of tooling (Dies, punches, die-sets), mechanisms, and equipment for use in metalworking in manufacturing processes.
  • Drive troubleshooting activities of tooling issues related to Metal forming process.
  • Perform standard analysis, calculations, and generate drawings, as required in product engineering designs.
  • Independently manage multiple projects and activities to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, and continuous improvement goals while meeting planned deadlines.
  • Support of other engineers in solving problems associated with manufacturing new or existing products.
  • Requires the ability to interact and work with associates at multiple skill levels throughout the organization.
  • Provide engineering support in scrap reduction, productivity improvements utilizing Lean tools, machine builds, and quality improvements.
  • Analyze data to develop, troubleshoot and improve a variety of processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop engineering designs by validating requirements such as cycle time and tooling.
  • Facilitate equipment trials at both vendor sites and in house.
  • Provide guidance to engineering technicians, interns and various team members as necessary.
  • Coordinate and work on activities with other cross functional teams such as Quality Engineering, productions supervisors.
  • Responsible for design, installation and commissioning activities of manufacturing lines
  • Support equipment design needs and necessary administrative tasks, such as RFQ creation, throughout multiple project phases.
  • Support launch activities of new programs.
  • Provide daily engineering support for production.
