1st Shift; Monday – Friday, 5am-2:30pm (mandatory 9 hour days & includes 8 hours every other Saturday)

2nd Shift; Monday – Friday,3:00pm-1:30am (mandatory 10 hours days)

$18.00 - $19.50/hr.

Job Duties:

  • Perform warehouse duties to include shipping & receiving
  • Operating forklift or hand powered pallet jack

Shift: 

2nd Shift; Monday – Friday,3:00pm-1:30am (mandatory 10 hours days)

 

Pay: 

$21.00 - $24.50/hr.

Job Duties:

? Work with other Leads, associates, and departments in a respectful manner to help solve various issues

? Perform equipment inspections, follow and enforce safety policies, and perform in a manner that sets a good example for others. Assist other department with incoming and outgoing material

? Fill in for fellow Warehouse Facilitators when they are on vacation or otherwise off-site

? Help perform inventory cycle counts throughout the year and participate in physical inventory events ? Participates in daily and weekly meetings within the department

? Work with the understanding that there is an approximate 50/50 split in responsibilities ? Facilitators should optimally perform duties similar to their associates for half of their scheduled shift and perform administrative duties as assigned for the remainder of their scheduled shift ? This split is subject to change on a daily basis as our needs and available resources fluctuate

? Evaluate the department plans and goals, ensuring that associates are set up accordingly

? Prepare, plan, and carry out work schedules, rotations, and line-ups as well as assign associates to the necessary tasks/areas, ensuring continuous and efficient productivity 1

? Effectively communicate with other departments to ensure that objectives are achieved

? Assists in the training of new associates to established methods to ensure standardized processes are followed

? Report safety, behavioral, and/or performance related issues and occurrences to Supervisor, HR, and appropriate levels of management as early as practical, always within the day they occur; document observations within one business day

? Facilitate concise and clear communication with the associates to aid in associate buy-in

? Analyze bottlenecks and aid in the cross-functional investigations that should lead to elimination of ineffective processes

? Work alongside the Supervisor to facilitate a smoothly run shift wherein department objectives are met

? Understand the appropriate use of email and electronic communications and utilize them according to policy

? Effectively communicate needs and issues with appropriate parties as they arise

? Acknowledge that the requirements are evolving and subject to change allowing for accommodation of Whisker’s growth

? Perform additional responsibilities when required

Remedy Intelligent Staffing is currently hiring for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for our valued manufacturing client Southeast of Beaver Dam, WI.

 

Summary:

The Production Supervisor will oversee the overall operations of specific areas ensuring production goals, consistent quality standards, and customer delivery requirements are all achieved. The  Production Supervisor will lead team members and organize workflows in complex assembly operations.

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 3:00pm-11:30am with mandated overtime scheduled until 1:30am; could include Saturday's

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

  • Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products.  This includes meeting  scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
  • Plans production operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Ensures successful team operations by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Maintains staff by selecting and training team members, then developing personal growth opportunities
  • Collaborates with nearby departments to ensure production goals are met
  • Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; observing equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
  • Maintains quality of product by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change
  • Engages in 5S ("Sort", "Set In order", "Shine", "Standardize" and "Sustain”) activities
  • Ensures timecard accuracy for all department team members through the company payroll system 
  • Navigates staffing shortages with the plant leadership team
  • Manages multiple production areas to help cover when other leadership is unavailable
  • Performs additional responsibilities when required

Leadership Responsibilities

Directly supervises department Teams. Carries out supervisory responsibilities following company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, addressing team issues, and upholding safety and quality guidelines. 

Job Requirements:

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • 5+ years of experience managing people and teams is preferred.
