Job Description

Remedy Staffing is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Water Utility Technician for a local municipal utility department. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing the city’s water distribution system, ensuring residents and businesses receive safe and reliable water service. The Water Utility Technician will assist with water line repairs, meter installations, system maintenance, and emergency service calls while following all safety regulations and operational procedures.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to become a permanent employee.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain water mains, service lines, valves, hydrants, and related utility infrastructure.
  • Read, install, repair, and replace water meters.
  • Assist with locating underground water lines and utility assets.
  • Respond to water service requests, leaks, and emergency repair situations.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on water system components.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment as required.
  • Assist with excavation, trenching, and back filling operations.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including trench safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work safely around utility equipment and excavation sites.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to participate in on-call and emergency response rotations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in water utilities, public works, construction, plumbing, or a related field.
  • Experience operating equipment and tools used in utility maintenance.
  • Knowledge of water distribution systems and utility maintenance practices.
  • Experience reading utility maps, blueprints, and service diagrams.
  • Experience working in a municipal or public works environment.

The Door Monitor is a friendly, observant, and dependable first point of contact for visitors, program participants, staff, tenants, vendors, and community members entering the campus. This role provides a welcoming and professional presence in the front lobby while supporting visitor guidance, customer service, building access, and basic safety awareness. The Door Monitor plays an important role in creating a positive, respectful, and mission-driven environment for everyone visiting the property.

Job Duties:

  • Greet visitors, participants, staff, tenants, vendors, and guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Monitor the front lobby, courtyard access area, and main entrance during scheduled hours.
  • Provide a visible presence and observe lobby activity to help maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Report safety, security, maintenance, or other concerns to the Front Desk Manager or appropriate staff.
  • Assist with visitor check-in procedures as directed.
  • Administrative offices, meetings, and events
  • Provide directions and visitor guidance for building tenants,
  • Help ensure visitors have a clear and appropriate purpose for being on the property.
  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Help maintain a calm, professional, and welcoming atmosphere in common areas.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

Day Shift:

Mon-Thurs 8am-4:30pm

Fridays 7am-3:30pm

 

 

Job Duties include:

Pick

 

  • Assembles merchandise orders according to conditions on pick tickets
  • Ensures all orders are picked, unless a requested item is out of stock
  • Know the location of all merchandise within the distribution center
  • Move buggy to packing line

 

Pack

 

  • Pack merchandise according to customer requirements
  • Seal cartons using tape or other materials
  • Examine and inspect cartons and materials to ensure packing specifications are met
  • Mark and label cartons using marking tools

 

Stock

 

  • Move stock from reserve warehouse to active warehouse-
  • Open cartons using cutting tool
  • Ensure merchandise is placed in the proper location
  • Breakdown boxes using cutting tool

 

Other

 

  • Read and understand pick tickets
  • Maintain at least minimum productivity and quality standards while also following safety procedures
  • Notify supervisor of shortages of materials and/or product
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned

 

 

Must be able to:

  • Lift up to 50lbs
  • Standing 8 hours daily
  • Navigate stairs multiple times daily
  • Able to bend/stoop
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
