Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed

Job Description
Remedy Staffing is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Auto Mechanic for a reputable local automotive service facility. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues on vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Repair and replace vehicle components such as brakes, suspension systems, steering components, batteries, and belts.
- Conduct engine diagnostics using computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Perform vehicle inspections and identify needed repairs.
- Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation.
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and shop policies.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Communicate repair recommendations and vehicle status professionally.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Previous automotive repair experience.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE Certification
- Experience with vehicle diagnostics and computerized repair systems.
- Experience working on domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Knowledge of electrical, brake, suspension, and engine repair systems.
- Experience in a dealership, fleet maintenance, or automotive repair shop environment.
