Location: Pineville, LA
Pay: $12.31-$20.00 per hour (Based on Certification)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed

Job Description

Remedy Staffing is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Auto Mechanic for a reputable local automotive service facility. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues on vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Repair and replace vehicle components such as brakes, suspension systems, steering components, batteries, and belts.
• Conduct engine diagnostics using computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Perform vehicle inspections and identify needed repairs.
• Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and shop policies.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Communicate repair recommendations and vehicle status professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Previous automotive repair experience.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE Certification
• Experience with vehicle diagnostics and computerized repair systems.
• Experience working on domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Knowledge of electrical, brake, suspension, and engine repair systems.
• Experience in a dealership, fleet maintenance, or automotive repair shop environment.
