Concrete Quality Control Specialist

Our production client is looking for an Advanced Quality Control Specialist to work with Concrete QA. This position requires experience with concrete or similar materials and a minimum of 2 years’ construction experience. Located in Des Moines, IA.

Starting Pay: $22 – 25 / hour DOE

Hours: 6:00am – 4:30pm Monday-Friday

Duties:

• Conduct and maintain documentation of the following:
  • Pre and post-pour inspections
  • Variance reports
  • Bed-shut down process
  • Product repairs
  • Shop drawings
  • Fresh concrete testing
  • Aggregate moisture tests
  • Seive analysis
  • Initial test sets
• Perform standard housekeeping responsibilities and implement/follow 5S organizational methodology
• Mark products with identification and appropriate visual codes
• Inform QC Manager of any product non-conformities or equipment issues

Responsibilities:

• 2+ years experience in concrete, construction, or similar industry
• Basic math and computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
• High School Diploma required, trade school or technical degree preferred
