Steel Materials Handler
Our manufacturing client is looking for an experienced Material Handler to transport steel materials. This is not a forklift position; this is a heavy-labor material handler role. This position is located in Carlisle.
Starting Pay: $21 – $23 / hour DOE
Hours: 6:00pm – 6:00am (Monday – Thursday)
Duties:
- Operates Telehandler / Lull
- Maintain site inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock
- Maintain updated inventory counts and locations
- Prepare stock for shipment by pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products
- Document all inbound/outbound shipments
- Complete pre-shift material-handling equipment inspections and perform basic repairs as needed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of Heavy Machinery experience
- 1+ years of inventory management experience
- 1+ years of Forklift experience – must currently hold valid OSHA forklift operation certificate
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions including extreme heat or cold
- Ability to lift 50-75 pounds on a consistent basis
