Materials Coordinator

Our manufacturing client in West Des Moines is looking for a Materials Coordinator to assist with account management, processing materials, and logistics support.

 

Pay: $22.00 – $26.00/hour DOE

Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm M-F

Job Duties:

  • Work with sales team to build and support existing customer base.
  • Perform daily maintenance of customer accounts and orders.
  • Identify customer needs, resolve issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Facilitate site tours for customers.
  • Work with office team to manage customer orders from start to finish.
  • Enter, manage, and track customer orders.
  • Generate BOLs and other required shipping documents.
  • Communicate order status updates and changes with customers.
  • Work with warehouse team to manage orders, materials, and ensure product quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years’ experience with purchasing, planning, and/or parts processing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing industry
  • 2 year degree required, 4 year degree in relevant field preferred.

Duties:

  • Priming of all different sizes and shape of materials per AISC specs. When not in paint booth working in shop doing odd jobs drilling holes, grinding and helping where needed.
  • Perform daily maintenance routines on paint equipment.
  • Identify and mask areas that are not to be painted.
  • Use proper paint application procedures.
  • Inspect paint job in progress for quality problems, such as runs and missed areas.
  • Clean paint booth and lights and change filters.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely
  • Strong physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects regularly 50lbs+
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime when necessary
  • Background check and drug screen are required
