The production associate is responsible for safely performing job functions at the highest level of quality in the processing of media. Key responsibilities/essential functions include cross training and working on any Fiber/Web equipment as necessary to meet schedule, working with hazardous chemicals and preparing and maintaining accurate records, logs and collecting necessary data for use by Engineering. In addition, the production associate complies with EHS regulations and policies including wearing required PPE and follows all Quality policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is desired. Basic math skills and measuring skills. Accuracy with both calipers and micrometers. Attention to detail and quality-minded work habits. Demonstrated ability to communicate with co-workers and leadership. Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs., stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for long periods. Must be able to read and write simple statements. Ability to make decisions and have sound judgment. Experience working with steel microfibers is desired.
