Days: Monday - Friday

Overtime available during busy seasons

Job Duties:

Safely move materials throughout facility in support of the operations

Using ERP, SAP, and electronically move materials

Inventory Management

Execute the shipment of the orders using UPS and FedEx

Execute cycle counts as directed

Pull material in a timely manner that supports the needs of manufacturing and support services

Maintain traceability of all products

Operate hand jacks and forklifts to safely move materials

Move and/or stage materials in support of production demand

Requirements:

Must have prior shipping and receiving experience.

Forklift experience preferred.

Must have prior material handling experience.

Work from engineering drawings, CAD models, and sketches to create tooling for production use

Interpret specifications, laying out and preparing materials, setting up and operating manual machine tools, and fitting and assembling components

Fabricate, repair, and modify metalworking tooling, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges

Some machining of secondary production operations may be required 

Set up and operate manual machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications

Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines manufacturing methods and sequence of operations 

Job Requirements:

10 years of journey person toolmaker shop experience

Strong attention to detail

Good verbal and written communication skills

Good math skills

Experience:

Responsibilities:

Will be cross trained in a variety of screw machines to support operations

Produce machined parts from a variety of metals to required specifications by operating applicable machining equipment

Loading raw material, selecting and installing the correct tooling based on part specifications, adjusting machine parameters according to blueprints.

Monitoring the machine during production runs, checking for quality issues, adjusting settings as needed to maintain tolerances.

Performing in-process inspections using measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure parts meet quality standards.

Basic maintenance: Cleaning and lubricating the machine, identifying and reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance personnel.

Maintaining production logs, recording quality data, and documenting any machine malfunctions

Requirements:

MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO READ BLUEPRINTS. WILL BE TESTED AND MUST PASS TEST IN ORDER TO QUALITY.

SCREW MACHINE, CNC, DAVENPORT, ACME OPERATOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (1-3 years)
