Job Opening: Toolmaker

Do you have experience as a Tool maker and you are seeking a new opportunity? Remedy in partnership with their client is now hiring for a 1st shift Toolmaker in East Syracuse!

Pay: $27-36 / hr DOE 

Shift: 1st 

Location: East Syracuse

Job Duties:

Designs, fabricates and maintains specialized tools and fixtures used in manufacturing operations

Work from engineering drawings, CAD models, and sketches to create tooling for production use

Interpret specifications, laying out and preparing materials, setting up and operating manual machine tools, and fitting and assembling components

Fabricate, repair, and modify metalworking tooling, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges

Some machining of secondary production operations may be required 

Set up and operate manual machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications

Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines manufacturing methods and sequence of operations 

Job Requirements:

10 years of journey person toolmaker shop experience

Strong attention to detail

Good verbal and written communication skills

Good math skills

Ability to work independently 

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Ability to use gauges and measurement tools
