Industrial Painter

This position is a temporary-to-hire opportunity located in Carlisle.

Starting Pay: $22.00-$25.00 /hr

Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm (Monday-Friday) Occasional Saturdays.

Duties:

1. Priming of all different sizes and shape of materials per AISC specs.
2. When not in paint booth working in shop doing odd jobs drilling holes, grinding and helping where needed.
3. Perform daily maintenance routines on paint equipment.
4. Identify and mask areas that are not to be painted.
5. Use proper paint application procedures.
6. Inspect paint job in progress for quality problems, such as runs and missed areas.
7. Clean paint booth and lights and change filters.
8. Organize and maintain paint room.
9. Coordinate flow of and complete necessary paperwork.
10. Perform quality checks including visual and electronic mill testing.
11. Clean and prime material, Assist with material handling.

Requirements:

1. Must have a minimum of 12 month industrial painting (automotive or parts) experience.
2. Required to wear a respirator, must be able to pass a medical qualification and a respirator fit test.
3. Must be able to use a sprayer and be able to work in a paint booth.
4. Ability to use hand and/or power tools and equipment.
5. Must know how to operate a Lull, Skid Loader and Fork Lift
6. Attention to detail & Strong communication skills.
7. Applicants must be able to walk and stand on feet for extended period of time, lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs, crawl on hands and knees, climb a ladder and be able to work long hours.
