Our client is looking for Packaging Operators to join their team.

Long Term Temporary position, for the right candidate this could be a Temp-To-Hire opportunity!

Wage Range is $20.00 to $21.00 based on shift

12 hour shift – 7pm to 7am.

Position Summary:

The Packaging Operator may operate processing, packaging, computer control system, and material handling equipment to safely produce quality product in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Packaging Operator:

• Operate all machines and equipment necessary to properly process and package finished product
• Must have experience operating a fork truck in a manufacturing environment
• Load, unload, store, sample, and transfer raw materials, finished product, and miscellaneous items
• Maintain equipment through proper lubrication, minor repairs/adjustments; report all malfunctions and needed repairs
• Maintain accurate and complete records and charts
• Routinely sanitize and clean plant equipment and facilities
• Perform material handling duties in accordance with all applicable OSHA and EPA standards
• Effectively communicate with all other team members
• Participate in safety, quality, and productivity improvement projects
• Fill in for overtime requirements including vacation, sick leave, training and others as needed
• Assist with training new operators or learning additional machine skills as needed
• Perform other duties and tasks as required

Packaging Machine Operator Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating forklift is required
• Previous production experience in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing plant
• Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office / control system experience

Physical Requirements and Essential Functions Include but are not limited to:

• Overtime as required
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• ability to read work instructions and communicate in English
• Reach, grasp, lift, turn, twist arms, hands and body as needed
