Eligibility Specialist Full time, a lot of opportunity for growth!
We are currently searching for a people orientated civically minded person with Social Service, Human Services, HR, Public Housing or other related experience to work as an Eligibility Specialist for a project at local municipality (Housing and Redevelopment Division).
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this class within the organization is to determine eligibility and distribute benefits to the public in an efficient, timely and courteous manner. This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
- Performs intake screening with clients; enters personal/client data into the computer; reviews and processes applications; determines eligibility for programs by applying local, state, and federal policies.
- Conducts in person interviews and telephone screenings; summarizes information; recommends determinations of eligibility based on submitted information and makes appropriate referrals.
- Reviews applications for accuracy and collects data; analyzes and reviews documents submitted; advises applicants when more information is needed to determine eligibility; notifies clients of the status of their application; sends letters of determination.
- Explains housing programs to clients; answers telephone and email inquiries and records phone call logs; makes referrals to outside resources and coordinates with outside agencies.
- Compiles case files; prepares files for closing; reviews and closes cases for 2nd party review; reviews difficult cases with supervisor to determine eligibility of case.
Performs related work as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High school Diploma or GED equivalent and two years human services, counselling, crisis intervention or closely related experience. With a bilingual preference.

Recreation Attendant – Support Staff – After School and Summer Programs
We are actively seeking creative, energetic, and enthusiastic professionals for several temporary Support Staff and Recreational Counselor rolls at a multiple recreation programs in Fort Myers. There are full and part time positions available, in both the daytime and afternoon programs. Under the general direction of the Program Coordinator, the Recreational Counselors and Support Staff are responsible foremost for assisting with the safety and engagement of participants. In addition, our Recreational Counselors’ expectations are to be active and attentive to the guidelines and needs of both the academic and recreational elements of the program. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, activity facilitation, instructional support, daily reporting, processing of registration, cash handling, customer service, miscellaneous paperwork, general clean up, and set up. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist with the active engagement of participants in educational and recreational programs, and or activities.
- Assist with the execution of programs/lessons as assigned.
- Plan interactive activities for groups as assigned.
- Must have excellent behavior management skills and provide positive communication between parents and staff.
- Assist in the preparation, organization, and use of instructional aids, materials, and technology as directed.
- Provide information and instruction to clients with respect to buildings, facilities, and programs.
- Processing class registrations, record maintenance, and general cleanup is expected.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- This position requires regular and reliable attendance and the employee’s physical presence at the workplace.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Minimum Requirements
- May be a student currently enrolled in high school in pursuit of a high school diploma.
- Six (6) months experience working with children, education or recreation; and/or training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Mandatory Drug/Alcohol Testing required.
- Must obtain CPR, AED and First Aid Training Certification within twelve months of hire date.
- When assigned to working around Youth, must meet the Department of Children and Families (DCF) requirements and inspections.
- Bilingual Helpful (Spanish and/or Creole) but not necessary
Successful completion of Department of Children and Families (DCF) childcare competency training Part I required within ninety (90) days of hire or promotion; remaining Parts within one (1) year of hire or promotion; and annual in-service.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

- Performs routine qualification, calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
- Prepares analytical standards and reagents according to established procedures and specifications.

Summary: Process the allocation, routing, tracing and distribution of materials. Supporting all customers, both internal and external, by providing all necessary spare parts and associated information promptly, accurately and economically.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
- Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers’ descriptions of malfunctions.
- Fill customer orders from stock and requisition items that are out of stock.
- Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
- Assist customers, such as responding to customer complaints and updating them about back-ordered parts.
- Discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of machines or equipment.
- Maintain and clean work and inventory areas.
- Manage shipments by researching shipping methods or costs and tracking packages.
- Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
- Verify current account status and check credit ratings.
- Distribute documents for processing resulting from parts sales
- Assemble materials for instruction manuals.
- Perform other related duties.
- Obtain credit authorization.

Summary:
Constructs, maintains, and tests mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. Identifies parts for replacement and machines that need new parts and places orders as necessary. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to Assembly Mechanic IV or Production Manager.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Build new pumps, provide assistance in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and controls.
- Maintain test standards and equipment in accordance with ISO procedures.
- Know, understand, and abide by environmental policies.
- Use specialized equipment such as tape measure, band saw, hand grinders, steam cleaner etc.
- Perform basic metalworking duties such as measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling and deburring parts.
- Operate forklift to unload and handle raw materials.
- Assemble components using basic hand tools.
- Read and follow blueprints and work instructions.
- Perform a wide range of shop duties to support the Engineering Group.
- Maintain work area and equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Additional Functions
- May be required to spray paint pump units.
- May be required to work overtime according to the Production schedule.
- Required to assist other departments as necessary.
- Responsible for following all safety regulations at all work areas and job sites.
- Must have good working knowledge of D.C. electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Requires the ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshooting guides.
- The ability to work productively in teams as well as individually.
- Must have and maintain minimum supply of own tools, both metric and standard.
