Production Control Specialist
- Track and facilitate production of deliverable units through all manufacturing areas. Ensure all deliverable products are completed on-time.
- Communicate problems quickly and to the appropriate contacts to ensure any issues slowing down or stopping production are resolved in a timely manner. If issues cannot be resolved immediately, monitor progress and push to a resolution.
- Accurately update MRP (IFS) and Manufacturing Scheduling (WinMOPs) systems in a timely manner. Add production notes into WinMOPs daily so that any user can know the status of a deliverable line by COB each day.
- Assist planning team with daily tasks. Attend planning meetings as needed.
- Comply with, and assist in the enforcement of all company safety policies.
- Maintain excellent communication and working relationship with all departments within the company.
- Creates new shop orders, tracks shop order material complete dates and releases shop orders for kitting.
- Aggressively tracks past due components and sub assembly shortages.
Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma or GED
- A.S. Degree, Technical Certificate or APICS CPIM a plus
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Production planning experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong understanding of shop floor control activities preferred
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent Organizational Skills
- Computer Literate- proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel
- Strong interpersonal communication skills- written & verbal.
- Ability to work with little supervision in a fast-paced environment
