Job Requirements

Previous Chopper/Joiner Machine Operator experience of 2years required!

Must be able to work at a fast past and be able to maintain their equipment.
Attention to detail
Basic Math
Basic Computer skills
Able to multi-task and identify problems

Job Responsibilities
Follow safety guidelines, and additional PPE where required
Follow standard work instructions as assigned
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Troubleshoot equipment issues
Meet daily quota
Inspection of moulding material
Cutting to size, touch up and join
Must be able to climb a ladder

Remedy is now hiring for Sewing Machine Operators for a Flag Maker in Portsmouth VA 

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pull proper drawings, and notes for measurements and additional information
• Perform a variety of miscellaneous pre-assembly operations
• Verify product using established standards, specs, and instruction as well as refer to images in catalog and previous notes.
• Acquire, maneuver, and maintain stored components and materials.
• Properly measure from a ruler in 1/8” measurements
• Measure, stencil (image transfer) and pin proper material, and prepare with instruction to departments.
• Move prepared and finished products to designated areas/departments.
• Follows all applicable safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
• Report defective or substandard items to a supervisor
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Select appropriate size, material size as well as patterns
• Perform other assigned duties

Experience and Skills:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must know how to read, use, and convert a ruler with 1/8” measurements as well as strong math skills
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English is required
• Must be a team player, but also be comfortable with working individually
• Ability to try to figure out instructions/procedures
• Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time as well as lift or pull up to 20 pounds
• Must successfully completed a background check, drug screening and E-verify
