What You’ll Do:
- Operate CNC machines to produce machined parts according to specifications.
- Review work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to plan machining operations.
- Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation.
- Perform calculations using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry to ensure accuracy.
- Verify machine settings and first-run parts to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor operations such as drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing.
- Troubleshoot processes, adjust controls, and replace worn tools as needed.
- Maintain equipment and adhere to safety and quality assurance procedures.
