Our client has a need for an experienced Environmental Technician for a short term assignment.  This position requires someone with experience operating of water treatment equipment, performing maintenance, and providing results reporting.

The Environmental Technician will provide support to the manufacturing division by working in the industrial wastewater treatment facility.

Schedule/Pay:

  • This position follows a 12-hour, rotating shift schedule, 6:00pm to 6:00am.
  • Assignment wage is between $20.00 and $23.00 per hour based on experience. 
  • There is a seventy-cent shift differential for the overnight shift.

Primary Duties:

  • Operate the equipment in the water treatment facility, which will include daily maintenance of all equipment used in the treatment process, monitoring control panels, adjusting pH and chemical feed rates, and making proper adjustments for best results.

This is not an entry level job.  The client is looking for someone with the required technical training and skills.

Primary Duties:

  • Complete mechanical and dimensional testing of metal samples following work instructions and ASTM specifications (tensile strength, Rockwell hardness, grain size, coating thickness, etc.).
  • Utilize router, shear, and other small power tools to shape samples to required dimensions.
  • Prepare and analyze solid metal samples for chemical composition.
  • Enter data accurately and completely to record test results and communicate those results to required parties. Maintain associated databases as needed.

This is a hands-on, physically demanding general labor position working directly with large diameter steel pipes for the gas and oil industries. There is a wide range of positions. Some departments may require our associates to occasionally work outdoors in the performance of their regular duties.                                      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
