Remedy Intelligent Staffing is pleased to work with some of the best known companies in Eastern Iowa.

SHIFT:  8:00am to 4:30pm (or whenever work is done)

PAY:  $20.50/hour

Our client is a nationally know beverage distributor.  They need additional warehouse staff in their Cedar Rapids facility.

This is a temporary position, should last about a month.  Start date ASAP!

The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and the ability to read, understand, and follow directions You must be able to follow work procedures and safety rules, and have solid experience with warehouse operations

The Warehouse Worker / Order Picker duties include:

  • Accurately pick products by matching numbers and product descriptions using voice audio headset.
  • Hand stacks cases of product weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively from floor to over-head throughout the duration of the shift.
  • Place the beverage products in a defined stacking pattern onto the pallet.
  • Hand shrink wrap customer orders with label and move completed order to the loading dock staging area using electronic pallet jack or walkie-rider equipment.
  • Report all product discrepancies or quality issues to supervision including damaged product, wrong store number, equipment issues, etc.
  • Follow all safety procedures and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment and help to maintain a safe, clean work environment.
  • Adhere to good housekeeping standards.
  • And other duties as assigned.

The Material Handler is responsible for manually or by hand truck moving materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated places in the facility or onto trucks. Position typically reports to the Warehouse Supervisor or Lead.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Stocking baked good products such as bread, hot dog and hamburger buns from totes to shelf

• Use handheld scanners and computers

• Ensure product is unloaded into the appropriate bays

• If needed, unload top part of loads by hand and stack on pallets

• Manually or using hand truck performs various material handling duties in the facility.

• Manually loads finished product on pallet or hand truck.

• Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas.

• Provides cleaning services, as necessary, including sweeping floors, cleaning offices and removal of trash in proper containers or designated areas.

• Performs other related tasks to keep the work area safe, clean and organized.

Job Requirements:

 

Qualified applicants will be able to:

• Basic mathematical skills

• Basic computer skills

• Previous experience with RF Scanners and WMS systems preferred

• Attention to detail to ensure pulling correct product

• Must be able to reach above head as racks are in excess of 6' tall
