Summary:

Company is looking for a skilled Machinist to join their team on 2nd shift. This role focuses on operating and programming machines to produce precision parts, with a strong emphasis on CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programming and use. You’ll work closely with engineering and production to support both daily operations and new product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and saws.

• Use and program CMM equipment to inspect parts and ensure quality standards.

• Interpret blueprints and use precision measuring tools (micrometers, comparators, etc.).

• Choose correct feeds/speeds based on material and part specs.

• Hold tight tolerances (±.001”) during machining.

• Assist in the design and fabrication of tooling and fixtures.

• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout).

• Perform routine maintenance and use maintenance tracking software (TMS).

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 2-year machining degree or certificate preferred.

• At least 1 year of experience in machining (milling, drilling, turning, grinding).

• Experience with CMM usage and programming preferred.

• Basic CNC programming skills a plus.

• Ability to read detailed blueprints and perform basic math (including metric conversions).

• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse (includes some delivery)

• Using material handling equipment, inbound and outbound shipments, loads and unloads trucks, locates and picks material into/out of warehouse racks and between locations, Log inbound freight (UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, DHL).

• Safely operates assigned material handling equipment. Ensures that all equipment in use has been inspected and is in safe operating condition. Reports all accidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor.

• Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory.

• Determines accurate material quantities by cycle counting.

• Receives material into inventory, move material by quantity between designated locations, and locate/pick material to/from warehouse locations as required. Ensures accurate part number, quantity, and other data fields entries that impact electronic records of receipts, inventories, location; Resolves discrepancies with material quantities, part numbers.

• Locates parts insuring that pallets are stable, observing pallet heights, material, racking and equipment are not damaged, and material is not left in aisles.

• Practices safe material handling techniques.

• Performs housekeeping as assigned.

• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required
