Job Description

Remedy Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and safety focused Wastewater Technician for a local facility in the Alexandria, LA area. This position is responsible for assisting with the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of wastewater treatment processes while helping ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and operating efficiently.

The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, comfortable working in an industrial environment, and able to follow established procedures and safety guidelines. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to perform hands-on work throughout their shift.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor wastewater treatment equipment and daily operations
• Perform routine checks on pumps, tanks, valves, and related equipment
• Collect samples and assist with required testing and documentation
• Record readings and maintain accurate operational logs
• Identify and report equipment issues or unusual operating conditions
• Assist with basic troubleshooting and routine equipment maintenance
• Make adjustments to equipment as directed to support proper treatment operations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all facility safety procedures and environmental guidelines
• Properly use required personal protective equipment
• Communicate equipment concerns and operational issues to management
• Assist other departments or team members when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
