Warehouse Clerk / Forklift

Our client is looking for an individual to work in their Shipping & Receiving and packaging department. This is a small facility located on the ne side of Des Moines. Opportunity for F/T employment with benefits.

Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (Monday-Friday)

Summer Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm

Starting Pay: $18.50/hour. 

Duties:

• LOTS of counting products. Tracking everything that comes in and goes out of the docks.
• Picking, counting & packing parts 75-80% of your day.
• Operate sit down and/or stand-up forklift to move products (Load & unload trucks with forklift, 20% of your day).
• Cutting cable to length 120-200 ft) and rolling them in to nice bundles and putting them on a pallet (wright 45-60 pounds).
• Cutting cable trays with power tools to proper length. Spraying the ends to match color.
• Shrink wrap pallets.

Requirements:

• Ability to read a tape measurer to 1/8 of an inch.
• Sit down Forklift Experience (min 6 months, previously certified).
• Stand up forklift exp. a plus.
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Ability to count accurately from 1-100.
• Ability to work with basic hand tools.
