General Warehouse, Kitting & Forklift

Our client is looking for an individual to work in their Shipping & Receiving and packaging department. This is a small facility located on the ne side of Des Moines. Opportunity for F/T employment with benefits.

Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (Monday-Friday)

Starting Pay: $18.50/hour. 

Duties:

1. Picking, counting & packing parts 75-80% of your day.
2. Operate sit down and/or stand-up forklift to move products (Load & unload trucks with forklift, 20% of your day).
3. Cleaning up, tearing down reels, pallets, boxes, etc. 
4. Cutting cable to length.Work with UPS & Fed Ex shipping and receiving.
5. Record raw materials coming in and finished products leaving the facility.
6. Manual picking, pulling and packing shipments. 
7. Pull raw materials and finished products from production line and racking system.

Requirements:

1. Ability to read a tape measurer to 1/8 of an inch.
2. Sit down Forklift Experience (min 6 months, previously certified).
3. Stand up forklift exp. a plus.
4. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
5. Ability to pay attention to detail.Ability to count accurately from 1-100.
6. Ability to work with basic hand tool
