Our client, a hotel in Alexandria, LA, is seeking a dependable and hands-on Facility Maintenance Technician to help maintain the property and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff.

This position is ideal for someone with general maintenance experience who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining building systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect hotel facilities and identify areas requiring maintenance or repair
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine the necessary repairs
• Review and prioritize work orders to plan repair activities
• Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the property
• Repair and maintain fixtures, doors, locks, lighting, walls, flooring, and other building components
• Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC-related maintenance as needed
• Maintain grounds and common areas to ensure a clean and professional appearance
• Document completed work and report maintenance concerns to management
• Follow all safety procedures and hotel policies

Qualifications

Required

• Previous maintenance, facilities, handyman, or related experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance systems and repair techniques
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues independently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and overnight shifts
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable using ladders and maintenance tools
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed
