The Material Handler is responsible for handling, counting, identifying, moving, and organizing materials throughout the warehouse. This includes maintaining accurate inventory quantities and locations using software systems.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory. • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. • Safely handles material to prevent injury to self/others and damage to material • Maintains organization and cleanliness of warehouse by following best practices and standard procedures where applicable • Communicates material shortages, defectives, or incorrect locations during job duties to supervision • Assists in unloading container shipments as needed • Assists with the material handling responsibilities of other departments as needed • Uses handheld RF scanner or computer to look up/perform basic functions in software system: o Part locations o Inventory quantities o Material picking transactions • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections • Safely operates material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts
