General Laborer – Concrete

Our client is looking for a general laborer to work on the shop floor. This is a very physical, dusty and high attention to detail position. Located on the se side of Des Moines.

Starting Pay: $20.00 – $22.00/Hour

Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm (Finish) (Monday-Friday, frequent Saturdays)One hour lunch

Duties:

1. Complete tasks related to panel production
2. Clean and maintains production bed (concrete).
3. Install rebar and strand.
4. Pour and finishes concrete.
5. Strip out panels after completion.
6. Patch and repair panels as needed.
7. Maintain and improve housekeeping to ensure a safe and productive workplace on an hour by hour, day by day basis.
8. Complete daily preventive maintenance tasks as assigned, including tool maintenance.
9. Responsible for tools and machinery in your area.
10. Notify appropriate personnel of issues requiring maintenance work orders to be issued.

Requirements:

1. Ability to lift 50+ pounds.Steel toed work boot with metatarsal top.
2. Ability to step, climb stairs, reach, stoop, push, pull, squat
3. .Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines.Identify, understand, & report safety hazards, poor behavior and unsafe actions immediately.
4. Report ALL accidents to the Plant Manager immediately and completes an incident report.
5. Daily 5S compliance.
