CNC Operator
Day Shift
Responsible for the operating of a CNC Spinning Lathe. The operator will only run cycles of programs already installed in the machine. He/she may be required to assist other operators as a helper on other work or machines as required. This is a cross functional position within the Machine shop Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Chooses metal blanks based on type and size required for job at hand• Continue to run cycles on the machine• Take out finished parts and stack with paper between parts• Puts proper blank in machine and pushes cycle start button• Inspects all parts to maintain correct dimensions• Communicates with co-workers and supervisor/manager to receive instructions and coordinate priority jobs• Follows all safety procedures and wears all proper safety equipment or apparel as needed• Cleans area around work station at end of shift• Report any and all problems to Manager/supervisor• Always keep a clean and safe work area• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.• Maintain regular and prompt attendance• Perform other duties as assigned.
