Position: Human Resources Generalist
Location: Honolulu
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 annually, depending on experience
Local company looking for detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations and contribute to the development and execution of key HR programs. This role plays a vital part in recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, and employee support. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to handle confidential information while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and company guidelines
- Administer employee benefits programs and manage leave processes
- Assist with payroll processing, audits, and resolving discrepancies
- Manage full-cycle recruitment including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, and data tracking
- Serve as a resource for employees on HR-related questions and support needs
- Support the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives
- Research HR best practices and recommend process improvements
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employment law, and best practices
- Experience in benefits administration and recruiting
- Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, UKG) preferred
