Remedy is seeking a reliable self-motivated Forklift Driver for an Industrial Recycler in Marion, IA.
The focus of this job is to process material safely, accurately and productively based on established company standards, best practices, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. The job environment is stable, based on known relationships with people and well-defined processes. Job knowledge and competency is built through structured step-by-step training and positive, supportive coaching from management and peers. Communication with others is based on knowledge of repetitive job routines and procedures gained from sufficient on the job experience. Consistent, error free work based on defined regulations and standards are key measures of job performance success. The job environment promotes steady, methodical work output so that job routines can be completed on time and error-free. This position is designed to develop a valued technical expert, who, recognized and supported by management and a stable work environment, can deliver quality work on a consistent basis.
The role is a full time, Monday – Friday 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift position. Some flexibility in hours required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Operate baling equipment, skid steers, and forklifts.
- Sorting plastic on the sorting line.
- De-boxing books and putting the material into Gaylord boxes.
- Cutting paper rolls with roll cutter.
- Processing Gaylord boxes – painting and sorting boxes.
- Documenting legibly material loaded/unloaded and material processed.
- Process materials and load & unload material safely and efficiently, thus allowing the organization to buy and sell material. Employees are tracked by the tons per hour processed.
- Plastic material is baled by grade of material. Allows the organization to sell the material at the highest grade. Employees on the sorting line are tracked by pounds per day sorted. The goal on the sorting line is to sort 15,000 pounds per day.
- Material is properly separated and can be sold appropriately. Employees are tracked on the pounds per day de-boxed.
- Increases market value of material. Allows the company to meet customer needs and expectations, therefore increasing company sales. Employees are graded on pounds per hour processed.
- Allows organization to meet customer needs and expectations. Employees will be graded by Gaylord boxes per hour processed.
- Provides records to office staff for proper data entry of commodities and weights.
