Business Development Representative
Our client is looking for a Business Development Representative for the Des Moines market.
Pay: (Base + Commission)
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday)
Job Responsibilities:
- Creating new business opportunities by developing relationships with key decision makers.
- Prospecting and qualifying new target accounts in your assigned territory (in person cold calls, phone calls and social media research).
- Scheduling appointments with prospects and clients.
- Making presentations & closing the sale.
- Organizing day-to-day sales activity, optimizing productivity.
- Successfully negotiating contract terms with new clients.
- Maintain proper documentation of all required client files.
- Meet daily, weekly, quarterly and years sales activity goals.
- Working with a team to meet objectives.
- Documenting daily activity.
Requirements:
- 6-18 months business development exp. (b2b sales).
- Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred, NOT required.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation & proof of insurance.
- A competitive attitude. Problem solving and negotiating skills.
- Ability to hold a conversation, listen and overcome objections (critical thinking).
- Ability to work independently and meet goals.
