Job Overview

Remedy is hiring a reliable and mechanically inclined Wastewater Plant Operator to support daily operations of a wastewater treatment facility. This role involves monitoring equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems and equipment
• Read and interpret gauges, meters, and control panels
• Conduct routine inspections and record operational data
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, and small mechanical components
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with corrective actions
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to work on small mechanical parts
• Ability to read and understand gauges and operational data
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a wastewater treatment facility
• Exposure to outdoor conditions and varying weather
• Physical activity required (lifting, walking, climbing, etc.)
