Job Opening: Materials Specialist

Our manufacturing client in West Des Moines is looking for a Materials Specialist!

This position will be responsible for facilitating manufacturing and materials processing for new and existing clients. 

Pay: $26-32/hour DOE

Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Job Duties:

• Build cut sheets.
• Create Bill of Materials and quote products for customers.
• Order customer parts and materials.
• Track and maintain part numbers, quantities, and order revisions.
• Update materials list as changes occur.
• Create blueprints and draft instructions for manufacturing and assembly.
• Work directly with customers to identify needs, resolve issues, and recommend solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• 2-5 years’ experience in a professional manufacturing, materials, or production environment AND 1-3 years’ experience with sales and/or customer service.
• Computer proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• 2-4 year degree in relevant field OR technical degree.
