Civil Engineer

Our client is looking for a Professional Civil Engineer. This position would be located in Ankeny, IA with occasional travel to Omaha, Nebraska.

Starting Pay: $90,000 – $135,000 (DOE) Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday) Occasional work outside of the main hours.

Duties:

1. Manage projects including residential subdivisions, parking lots, site plans roads/highways, etc.
2. Assist in the design of land development projects from conceptual phase through construction, including grading, utilities, drainage, storm water management, sediment and erosion control, permitting, and regulatory approval.
3. Prepare project specification, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and project schedules (manage deadlines).
4. Involvement in the planning, design, and delivery of projects from start to finish.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 4 years, or more, experience preferred.
2. Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE). from Iowa.
3. Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis.
4. Trimble Access and Microsoft Office.
5. Valid driver’s license required.
6. Associate degree from a technical or four-year school preferred, but not required.
7. Intermediate to experienced level of expertise with all major technical aspects of surveying.
8. Physical Requirements When working outside, ability to stand for long periods, walk over all types of terrain while caring equipment up to 50 pounds.
9. Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.
