Water Utility Technician

Schedule: Day shift 7:00am-3:30pm
Availability: Must be available 7 days a week (occasional on call)
Pay: $11.83 per hour (Opportunity for overtime and additional hours)

About the Position

We’re looking for a dependable and hands on Water Utility Technician to join our team! This role helps keep our water systems running smoothly and safely. Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining and repairing water lines, valves, and hydrants
• Locate leaks and help with water line repairs
• Read water meters and record data accurately
• Respond to service calls and support emergency repairs when needed
• Operate basic tools, equipment, and service vehicles
• Ensure job sites are safe, clean, and compliant with regulations
• Report issues or system concerns to supervisors
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license GED/High School Diploma required
• Previous utility, construction, or maintenance experience
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to use tools and perform physical labor
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and motivated
• Must be available for occasional after hours or on call work
