Location: Downtown Honolulu

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM & Friday 7:15 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour (depends on experience)

The Financial Risk Analyst is a dynamic and detail-oriented professional who will evaluate and assess individual insurance applications for personal property, and other personal lines coverage. Your expertise will help balance risk management with customer satisfaction, ensuring that policies are underwritten accurately and efficiently. You will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our personal insurance portfolio while delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Job Duties:
- Review and analyze insurance applications, supporting documentation, and risk factors to determine eligibility and appropriate coverage terms.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments using data collection and risk analysis techniques to inform underwriting decisions.
- Collaborate with underwriting team and agents to negotiate policy terms, premiums, and coverage options that align with company guidelines and customer needs.
- Develop detailed underwriting reports, documenting decision rationale, risk evaluations, and recommended policy conditions.
- Monitor existing policies for changes in risk profile or exposure; adjust underwriting parameters accordingly to maintain portfolio health.
- Stay current on industry trends impacting personal lines underwriting.

Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in underwriting within the personal insurance sector.
- Proficiency with personal lines risk assessment, a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business, preferred.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate risk evaluation while fostering positive client relationships.
