Remedy Staffing is looking for a 1st shift Toolmaker in East Syracuse!

Location: East Syracuse

Shift: 1st

Pay: $27.00 – 36.00 / hr DOE

Job duties may include:

The Tool Maker supports Armstrong Rapid Manufacturing’s overall production objectives by designing, fabricating, and maintaining specialized tools and fixtures used in manufacturing operations.

This role works from engineering drawings, CAD models, and sketches to create tooling for production use.

Responsibilities include interpreting specifications, laying out and preparing materials, setting up and operating manual machine tools, and fitting and assembling components.

The Tool Maker fabricates, repairs, and modifies metalworking tooling, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.

Some machining of secondary production operations is required.

The position requires performing complex toolmaking tasks with a high degree of precision and craftsmanship.

Uses precision measurement instruments like micrometers, height gauges, and calipers.

Experience required:

• Journeyman toolmaker with ten years of shop experience
•  Ability to read and interpret blueprints
•  Ability to use a wide variety of gauges and measurement tools
•  Strong attention to detail
•  Good verbal and written communication skills
•  Excellent math skills
•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
