Job Opening: Buffer/Painter

Remedy Staffing is partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Preble NY!

Job Duties: 

Applicants applying for the Painter position must have experience in the following:

• Surface Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, degreasing, and masking surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
• Painting & Coating: Mixing, blending, and applying primer, base coats, and clear coats using spray equipment.
• Buffing & Finishing: Removing paint defects (dust, orange peel) through wet sanding and buffing/polishing techniques.
• Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and servicing spray guns, hoses, nozzles, and buffer machines.

All associates may help out in other areas of the warehouse including but not limited to:

1. Clean out and tag parts bucket.

2. Remove arrestors, neutral strap and ground lugs. 

3. Disconnect HV leads and disassemble lid.

A. Remove terminal tops & rods.

B. Remove bushings.

4. Disassemble LV Bushings.

A. Remove LV leads.

B. Remove LV terminal.

C. Remove LV bushings.

5. Disassemble Breaker/DVS/Tap changer/Magnex.

A. If overload wire, remove with Needle Nose Pliers & Remove light.

B. Disassemble handles from tank with all switches and slide switch into tank. 

6. Remove core bolts.

7. Process paperwork and tag core/coil.

8. Take parts bucket to assembly shelves.
