Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and precision measuring skills.
- Adjusts machine to material and finished product requirements.
- Feeds metal into roll-forming machine.
- Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
- Assures product quality by adjusting machine to remove burrs and sharp edges from material.
- Reports machine and product quality issues to supervisors.
- Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines and dies.
- Responsible for packers to package, label, stack and transport finished workpieces in a timely manner.
- Operates hoist to place coils of metal on and off an unwinder.
- Completes production records on finished goods

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide inches and pounds, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read and understand tape measurers and calculators.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in.
- Must have the ability to be able to measure parts as part of quality checks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Prior experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
- Metal fabrication and/or machine operator experience
- Mechanical Experience with hand tools (i.e., staplers, hacksaws, tin snips) preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must exhibit the willingness to learn and is conscious of safety standards.
- Exhibits a high attention to detail in order to successfully meet finished product requirements and identify quality issues.
