Local medical agency is seeking a detail-oriented Compensation & Benefits Specialist to support the HR team under the direction of the Director of Compensation & Benefits. This role provides administrative and analytical support across compensation, retirement, and benefits programs while serving as a key point of contact for employees.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Support

Assist with salary offer reviews and pay recommendations

Conduct data analysis (pivot tables, formulas, V-lookups)

Support market pricing, salary surveys, and equity reviews

Maintain job descriptions, job codes, and compensation tracking documents
Retirement Plan Administration

Liaison between organization and retirement plan vendors

Review and process participant requests (loans, withdrawals, distributions)

Ensure vesting accuracy and compliance

Coordinate retirement committee meetings and annual audits

Assist employees with general retirement plan information
Tuition & Certification Programs

Process tuition reimbursement and certification applications

Verify documentation and ensure policy compliance

Collaborate with Payroll for timely reimbursements and differentials
Benefits Administration

Conduct bi-weekly premium audits

Assist with premium collection and payment processing

Support employee benefit inquiries and communications
HR Support

Maintain accurate HR records and reports

Prepare correspondence and maintain organized electronic files

Provide professional customer service to employees

Serve as back-up HR Receptionist as needed
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
(Two years of related professional experience may substitute for degree) -
Prior HR experience required

Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Must be proficient in formulas, pivot tables, and V-lookups

Experience with HRIS systems

High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
