BASIC PURPOSE Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the corporate kitchens while supporting culinary and product development teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Wash dishes and clean kitchen surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, organizing, and polishing.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitization, and order within common kitchen spaces before and after use.
• Empty trash, recycling, and compost regularly; dispose of waste in appropriate bins.
• Restock kitchen supplies and disposables; monitor inventory levels and report shortages.
• Assist culinary and product development teams with setup and breakdown of kitchen spaces for events and meetings.
• Unpack, rotate, label, and stock all inventory.
• Assist with basic food preparation and plating as needed.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.

Job Requirements:

Prior experience working in a large fast paced food service environment strongly desired.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to work within a refrigerator or freezer for short periods (PPE provided). Must have reliable transportation. Ability to comprehend and carry out detailed verbal instructions. As the Sanitation Associate you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the entire facility and is responsible for the food safety and quality the products. Disposes of boxes in compactor, empties/picks-up trash throughout facility and outside around the plant, sweeps/mops/squeegees floors where and when needed, wipes condensation where and when needed, handles disposal of inedible product on the property, cleans break rooms (sanitize tables, chairs, counter top, and microwaves, etc.), restocks production supplies (hairnets, aprons, sleeves, gloves, etc.), restocks restroom supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.), reports any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, etc.), gives a written reports of unsafe conditions or unsafe acts to management, assists Client in achieving these goals by participating in the safety program, performs other tasks as assigned or on Master Sanitation Schedule.

Support is provided through an internal ticketing system, where ticket volumes can range from 10 to over 60 per day. The contractor will manage tickets and cases via chat, rather than through a call center environment, though in-person assistance is also required, as this is an onsite role in a full office environment. - Support is provided to USF internal employees both on-site and remotely, with remote assistance handled via chat. While ticket volumes can be as high as 80 interactions on particularly busy days, there are also quieter days with as few as 10.

Job description:

Work directly in conjunction with warehouse management to address food safety concerns. Maintain records of inspections. Inspect and bring issues to the attention of management relative to food safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive, inspect, and verify Purchase Order quantities for all inbound perishable loads.
• Inspect all inbound trucks for signs of pest and rodents before unloading.
• Document temperatures of all inbound loads and report to warehouse manager and buyers any violations.
• Responsible for proper rotation for all produce inventory and various perishable items.
• Maintain acceptable levels of product in each assigned pick slot.
• Perform daily quality inspections for all perishable items.
• Perform daily date checks and pull all out dated product from pick and reserve slots.
• Complete daily dump and damage report and give to warehouse supervisor or inventory control.
• Communicate daily with the buyers and warehouse manager on all issues related to perishable items. May make recommendations on dump and damage or repackaging.
• Process produce returns, determine whether to return to inventory, donate or dump.
• Receive calls from Territory Managers and help troubleshoot.
• May use forklift or electric pallet jack in this role.
