Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm Must have forklift experience.

Pay: Forklift $17/hour 

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for transporting materials and supplies to designated locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Keeps accurate records of stock moves, receipts, and shipments for reporting to warehouse office personnel.
• Operates warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner to eliminate personal injuries, merchandise damage, and damage to the warehouse.

• Inspects forklifts daily to identify any potential problems with the equipment and reporting these potential problems to Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager. Perform minor maintenance to forklifts that can be accomplished with the tools available, and ability of employee. Use of Forklift, Floor Scrubber, and Slipsheet, required.
• Operates forklift between staging and work in process locations.
• Performs or assists in building, grounds, and equipment cleaning. Understands the importance to participate in sanitation, pest control, and all other actions that promote food safety within the warehouse operation.
• Supports the company goals, mission, and growth by representing GSTC positively to potential employment candidates, customers, and community members when appropriate.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience diving a forklift and/or prior exposure to a warehouse environment preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy is required as it pertains to inventory transactions and insuring inventory accuracy.
• Must be able to do basic math computation of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Basic PC skills.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of concentration while operating a forklift and documenting inventory transactions.
• Ability to solve problems including space utilization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to constantly “get on and off” a forklift throughout the day.
• Must be able to stoop, walk and bend.
• Must be able to lift consistently a minimum of 50 and maximum of 60 pounds.

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for operating a forklift for the purpose of loading and unloading trucks and on occasion railcars; moving, locating, stacking, and counting merchandise to meet company standards for safety, security, productivity, and food safety.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

1st shift: 6:00am to 2:30pm M-F

2nd shift: 2:30PM to 11:0PM

3rd shift: 10:00PM to 6:30AM 

Overtime mandatory

Pay: $16.50/hour day shift and $17.50 night shift

The associate’s work will include:

• Operate all job-required equipment and handle all products in a manner that promotes a safe working environment

• Pack units and build pallets following the customer provided standards.

• Follow established safety guidelines; promote a safe workplace.

• Working overtime as required to meet business demand including staying over from scheduled shift and coming in on days previously scheduled off

Shift/Hours:

12 hours 6AM – 6PM or 6PM - 6AM

10 hours 6AM to 4:30PM

8 hours 6AM to 2:30PM / 2PM to 10:30 / 10PM to 6:30AM

Pay: Forklift $18/hour day shits, $19/hour night shift

Position Description Summary:

Responsible for loading and unloading freight accurately, inventory control, rotation and inspection and other warehouse related duties to ensure timely and accurate delivery of freight to customers.

Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):

• Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers

• Unload inbound and outbound containers and sort according to size of freight and destination

• Read, decode, and decipher freight coding in order to expedite freight movement and tracing process

• Reconcile driver pickup and delivery manifests

• Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight

• Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports

• Responsible for inventory, rotation and inspection of freight held in the warehouse

• Complete required documentation

• Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of warehouse

Must be able to read, decode, and decipher freight coding; operate hand truck and fork lift; and in some cases perform tasks in inclement weather conditions.
