Position Overview:

The responsibility of the Project Coordinator is to ensure customer satisfaction through the coordination of scheduling, planning and monitoring of project contracts and standard purchase orders.  The process begins with a customer order and ends with shipment of goods or services to the customer.  The scope of effort encompasses purchase order review, order entry, scheduling, engineering design/services, document release, planning, manufacturing, QA and shipment.

 

The Project Coordinator’s primary function is to interface with assigned customers, collect information, interface with internal organizations and maintain status to facilitate the on-time delivery of customer projects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Support Project Management function where required, collating information, sending reports. 

  • Communicate all issues across organizational boundaries to assure client satisfaction.  Coordinate, as required, client visits, quarterly reviews, and satisfaction improvement efforts.

  • Prepare on time shipping and other performance reports. Proactively communicate any production delay or risk to customers.  

  • Support production planning monthly revenue goals.

  • Support planning and manufacturing efforts for standard orders.

  • Support master scheduling effort to identify manufacturing window.

  • Maintain delivery schedules in customer MRP systems as required.

  • Coordinate ODI satellite facilities production promise dates.

  • Raise RMA’s as required

  • Track Material Requests (MRs) and Not Released designs (NR’s) as required to support qualification and/or manufacturing.

  • Support Customer Supplied Information Coordination.  Provide dates and track progress regarding witness, boot seal information, tagging/labeling, shipping information and other customer supplied information.

  • Monitor and track availably of customer owned material (COM) and customer supplied material (CSM) needed to complete production programs.

  • Coordination with the Quoting department to ensure all requests for quotes (RFQs) are completed in a timely manner.  Advise manager if additional support is required to complete the quoting effort.

  • Coordinate with Operations to generate and maintain project schedules.

  • Arrange and participate in customer conference calls and on-site meetings.

  • Create and maintain customer specific action item lists.

  • Ensure long lead items are ordered.  This may involve partial releases or other manual processes.

 

Education and Experience:

  • BS or BA degree preferred.  Related work experience will be considered.

  • Ideally, experience in Project Coordination in a manufacturing organization.

  • Work cross-functionally to improve processes that positively impact the Supply Chain, our Customers and profitability across the division
  • Act as primary Supply Chain interface for inquiries from sites within the division
  • Responsible for data entry of strategic item pricing within the division
  • Collect cost savings data on a predetermined basis from each site within the division and enter in to the Marine shared service cost savings matrix
  • Process non-disclosure agreement requests for strategic Suppliers
  • Assist Procurement teams at the Marine locations with the creation and development of order status reports, purchase order date maintenance tools and various ERP items to ensure effective tactical execution 
  • Examine and execute Supplier maintenance tasks within ERP system ensuring all information, records and documentation is up-to-date and accurate
  • Liaise with the Finance department to reconcile major invoice and purchase orders discrepancies within the divisions
  • Organize and maintain Strategic Supplier compliance and import/export records
  • Enter and maintain commodity classifications and Supplier standardization data in the ERP system
  • Research and collect information pertaining to commodity/category market data and trend, industry and supply chain benchmarking, and economic indices; compile collected data and publish monthly report to Marine Supply Chain team

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review all incoming certification documentation (certs) provided by suppliers.
  • Identification and review of correct certs provided by suppliers prior to entry into ERP system.
  • Review the PO requirements provided to the supplier at the time of PO placement.
  • Identification and review of correct PO requirement documentation in ERP system.
  • Ensure that all information required by the PO to be on the certs is:
  • Provided on the cert
  • In compliance with the PO requirements (i.e., chemical composition percentages are within the correct ranges, materials testing results are within the correct ranges, has correct testing performed, etc.)
  • Legible and in a format that makes later review of these certifications by customer feasible.
  • Interacts with Engineering, Book Build, Components Inspection, and others to clarify PO requirements and cert information as required.
  • Provides feedback to suppliers, via Procurement, as required to obtain correct certs or to return non-conforming material to the supplier.
  • Records data as requested from review results (defect tracking, check sheets, etc.)
  • Work overtime / weekends as required to meet business demands

Education and Experience:

  • Recent experience in an electrical or electronics manufacturing environment a plus
  • Experience with basic hand tools
  • Experience soldering to J-STD

Operation of various lines/equipment. (Will Train) Responsible for product quality and productivity. Operate equipment. Responsible to identify, troubleshoot and repair production equipment. Performs preventative maintenance. Change over the equipment according to production requirements to avoid unnecessary downtime. Must be able to make minor machine adjustments. Document the work done. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all EPC Safety/Environmental, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Lean 5S policies and regulation guidelines Machine Operator Qualifications:
