Production Associate (Ormond Beach)

1st and 2nd shift.

Starting Pay: $16-$16.75/hr.

Hours: 1st Shift 5am-3:30pm

Hours: 2nd Shift 3:30pm-2am

 *Not guaranteed full time hours, schedule is based on production needs.

Position Responsibilities:

• Packing finished product into boxes
• Filling machines with materials needed for production lines
• Clearing machine jams when they occur
• Testing and verifying the quality of the product being produced
• Reporting all required data during runs
• Operates machines and production equipment safely
• Maintains accurate daily production records
• Troubleshoot and resolves technical problems from the product line/process

Note: This individual must be able to learn GMP’s, ISO, and OSHA requirements in the manufacturing environment. This position shall operate in accordance with company policies & procedures, FDA regulations, and ISO standards.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

• Related experience a plus
• Stand for 10 hour shift
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to stand entire shift
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally
• Criminal background and drug screen required

Position in Deland and Remedy office in Daytona.

Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions. • Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications • Determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup • Uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments • Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds • Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining • Fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. Some machines may be numerically controlled. • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Typically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Manual Metal Spinner 

Day shift

Responsible for the set-up and operation of a manual spinning lathe to form product. Involves the manual manipulation of a roller to shape blank discs of metal over molds on a lathe. Manual spinning relies on the skill and expertise of the operator to apply adequate pressure to the blank against the forming tool. • Spin form various components from a range of material grades and thicknesses • Lifting and slinging of components, tooling, and machine ancillaries • Produce components within agreed cycle times • Produce components that conform to all specifications listed on engineering drawings • Produce components that satisfy all internal and external quality control measures • Maintain visual checks throughout the process and take corrective action where required • Inspect parts to determine if the product meets quality/customer specifications, taking appropriate action concerning parts that are not to customer/quality standards

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist shipping supervisor with matching purchase orders to sales orders. • Prepares bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct. • Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program. • Handles freight damage claims to resolution. • Assisting in counting of physical inventory. • Handles freight damage claims to resolution. • May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records. • Assigned correct carrier to customer orders and ensure is correctly packaged.
