Production Machine Operator Needed!

Long Term Temporary position.

$23.00 / hour, Shift 7am to 7pm, Rotating Schedule

Position Summary:

The Production Operator operates processing, packaging, computer control system, and material handling equipment to safely produce quality products in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Packaging Operator:

• Operate all machines and equipment necessary to properly process and package finished product
• Must have experience operating a fork truck in a manufacturing environment
• Load, unload, store, sample, and transfer raw materials, finished product, and miscellaneous items
• Maintain equipment through proper lubrication, minor repairs/adjustments; report all malfunctions and needed repairs
• Perform all required "in process" tests and adjustment
• Maintain accurate and complete records and charts
• Routinely sanitize and clean plant equipment and facilities
• Review Batch Manufacturing Records for completeness and accuracy
• Make sure all paperwork and forms are available and completed for their shift
• Perform material handling duties in accordance with all applicable OSHA and EPA standards
• Participate in safety, quality, and productivity improvement projects
• Execute other responsibilities and projects as required
• Train new operators
• Fill in for overtime requirements including vacation, sick leave, training and others as needed
• Experience using PLC screens.
• Perform other duties and tasks as required

Job Requirements:

North America's largest distributor of Fluid Power & Motion Control Solutions is looking for a temporary associate to assist with Production.

This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of fluid power systems, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and testing systems and components to ensure they meet performance and safety specifications.  

Shift/Hours: 1st Shift, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

Pay: $18.25/hour

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assist with installing and removing fittings
• Complete basic assembles and testing
• Place Products on Pallets for Storage
• Box and Prep units for shipments
• Pull orders or put orders away
• Audit PO's as kits come in to verify part quantities
• Clean Up building (Mop, Sweep, Take out the trash, break down boxes and stack empty part totes)

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in hydraulic system testing or related mechanical testing environment. 
• Production Assembly, Technical and Mechanical experience. Proficient with hand tools, gauges, and test instruments

Remedy has immediate openings at a local distribution warehouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa that supports distribution across the US!

The purpose of this position is to accurately transfer product, both physically and logically, into and/or out of warehouse locations, load/unload trailers, move product throughout the facility with powered industrial equipment and perform case pick and inventory counts as required.

ADDED BENEFIT! This is a potential temp to hire position for qualified candidates!

Job Responsibilities:

• Accurately load pallets of product for customer orders utilizing WMS computer system

• Unload customer product into proper location while ensuring damaged product is processed before being put away

• Operate forklift in a safe manner

• Perform inventory counts to ensure bay location is accurate

• Primary focus is on the inbound, outbound, quality hold, displays, case pick replenishments, and materials functions of the facility 

Schedule:

4:45pm - 3:15am

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday with 2 additional days of OT

Pay:

$20.00 / hour

$2.00 / hour shift differential
