Responsibilities
  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.

  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, shipping and receiving processes, and other warehouse related tasks.

  • Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.

  • Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.

  • Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring

  • productivity, quality and customer service standards are met.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

  • Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor and bin planning, shipping, and customer service.

  • Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.

  • Ensure shipping accuracy and follow all customer requests / ecommerce procedures / packaging and label requirements.

  • Ensure orders are packed and ship in a safely manner and products are in a perfect condition and securely packed/wrapped to avoid damages in transit when leaving the warehouse.

Job Requirements:

Daily tasks

  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.
  • Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
  • Review and audit warehouse performance and make appropriate suggestions and implementation plans for improvement.
  • Conduct semi-annual physical counts and report any daily inventory stock discrepancies daily to the inventory control team to commit out and refrain customers from ordering inventory missing at the Virginia warehouse.
  • Minimize or prevent all inventory discrepancies. If there are any inventory shortages or discrepancies, determine root cause and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Hold and conduct any necessary meetings with management staff to address issues or ideas for the benefit of the company.
  • Coordinate scheduling and staffing requirements to ensure full coverage of responsibilities for smooth operations.
  • Inspection of building for building maintenance and suggested repairs.
  • Inspection of warehouse equipment such as tables, ladders, fire extinguishers and sprinklers.
  • Organize and maintain all original put-away documentation from the receiving department for future reference or troubleshooting purposes.
  • Maintain bin location accuracy to make sure all items are stored properly, and additional bin locations are updated as necessary to accommodate overstock quantities.
  • Review and dispute any freight quotes with carriers sent by AP team.
  • Dispute and process shipment claims with carriers.
  • Continue researching and utilizing the most economical carriers to reduce freight costs.
  • Verify the completion of the weekly checklist for all forklift equipment maintenance and update the equipment maintenance log.
  • Responsible for opening, closing, and responding to alarms.
  • Ensure all shipping and productivity reports and the Warehouse Inspection and Maintenance Checklist are completed on time daily and submitted to management
  • Ensure all monthly evaluation and meeting slides/reports are submitted at the top of every month

 

Qualifications 

  • College degree preferred; high school degree required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products and WMS.
  • Ability to speak and write English proficiently.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, activity facilitation, instructional support, daily reporting, processing of registration, cash handling, customer service, miscellaneous paperwork, general clean up, and set up. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Assist with the active engagement of participants in educational and recreational programs, and or activities.

Shift: 8:30am until rooms are completed

Pay: $11.00-12.50 (DOE) Temp to Hire

Job Duties:
