Job Opening: Payroll Manager

Position: Payroll Manager (Permanent)

Location: Honolulu

Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 annually (depending on experience)

Local organization seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee all payroll operations and ensure timely, accurate payroll processing for a growing organization.

Job Duties:

• Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll cycles.
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
• Serve as the primary resource for payroll tax matters and collaborate with payroll providers and tax authorities as needed.
• Partner with Human Resources and department leaders to resolve payroll-related questions and issues.
• Process payroll adjustments, bonuses, retroactive pay, PTO payouts, and other payroll changes.
• Administer PTO and sick leave accruals.
• Reconcile retirement plan contributions and related payroll deductions.
• Assist with year-end audits, compliance initiatives, and special projects.
• Evaluate payroll processes and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and automation.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of payroll experience.
• Strong understanding of payroll processing, payroll taxes, compliance, and reporting.
• Advanced attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
