Job Title: Purchasing & Contracts Manager
Location: Honolulu
Salary Range: $78,000–$98,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing & Contract Manager to oversee vendor relationships, procurement activities, and contract compliance. This role is responsible for ensuring that vendors meet their obligations while driving cost savings, improving procurement efficiency, and maintaining strong working relationships across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing

Develop and implement sourcing strategies to maximize value and cost savings.

Manage competitive solicitations, vendor selection, and pricing negotiations.

Build and maintain effective vendor relationships and determine procurement strategies.

Use enterprise resource systems (e.g., SAP) to track and manage contracted pricing.
Contract Compliance

Review and manage contract terms and conditions to mitigate risks.

Negotiate and resolve disputes related to contractual obligations.

Collaborate with legal, risk management, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance.

Maintain contract lifecycle management systems to track vendor compliance.
Operational Support

Work with purchasing, supply chain, and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies in purchase orders and invoices.

Verify job scope, schedule, pricing, freight charges, and quantities against contract terms.

Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, audit standards, and applicable regulations.
Other Duties

Support emergency response and preparation activities as needed.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders and invoices.

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3–5 years of experience in purchasing, contract administration, or procurement.

Experience in construction, operations, or project management a plus.
Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of purchasing, contract law, negotiation, and procurement techniques.

Familiarity with project management practices, cost estimating, and scheduling.

Proficiency with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
