Job Opening: Forklift Driver

Our client is an internationally known logistics company and has an immediate openings for FORKLIFT DRIVERS.  If you are an experienced forklift driver there has never been a better time to join a logistics industry leader than with this opportunity!

The fork truck positions are at a distribution warehouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, support client locations across the US!

NEW OPPORTUNITY!  We now have an opening in Walford, Iowa for an experienced Forklift driver.

The pay rate is up to $20.00.  Some positions offer a $2.00 shift differential.  There are a variety of work schedules available.

Forklift drivers need to accurately transfer product in and/or out of warehouse locations, load and unload trailers, move product throughout the facility with powered industrial forklifts and perform case pick and inventory counts as required.

ADDED BENEFIT! This is a potential temp to hire position for qualified candidates!

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Accurately pull product and load pallets for customer orders
• Unload customer product into proper location 
• Operate forklift in a safe manner and follow all client safety rules and site security procedures
• Perform inventory counts to ensure bay location is accurate
• Focus on the inbound and outbound product, quality hold, case pick replenishments, and materials functions of the facility
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer
• Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process
• Performs housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned Remedy offers weekly pay and benefits to all associates

To be considered for a forklift driver position with our client, the following minimum requirements must be met:

• Above average written and oral communication skills required
• Previous experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions required
• Must have good basic mathematics skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pound on a regular basis
• Must be able to sit and stand for 12 or more hours as needed
• Ability to grasp, twist, lift, reach, bend essential
